Founder and Director of Partner with Schools:
Ingrid DeDecker
Ingrid DeDecker received her undergraduate degree in Secondary Education from the University of Akron teaching Business Communications and Accounting. A few years later she received her MBA and started working for the Akron Regional Development Board as a Business Consultant for Small and Start-up Companies. This led her to a position with the State of Ohio Economic Development Department as the Director of the International Trade Assistance Center where she and her team consulted Ohio companies in expanding their international departments, covering Summit, Portage, Wayne, Stark and Medina Counties. She was part of business delegations to the Hannover trade mission in Germany where the then Governor Taft and Akron Mayor Don Plusquellic most annually helped to launch Ohio companies' European business ventures.
Ingrid DeDecker has been listed as an Honored Professional of the National Directory of WHO's WHO in Executives and Professionals 1996-97 Edition.
Although Ingrid absolutely loved her job, a few years ago she had the desire to invest her life more in people than in companies. She then went back into the school system to inspire students to reach their dreams just like she did. Now she helps schools partner with faith-based organizations to provide character education and identity teaching. She recruits, trains and coaches character education teachers/support staff for the program.
Ingrid was born and raised in Germany and has dual citizenship as both an American and German Citizen. She is married to Mark, a chemical engineer who pitches in when short on staff in schools, and has an adult daughter and another daughter in Middle School. Her faith in God and love for students keep her motivated.
